The location of the resort was ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat in nature. The nearby Togatta hot spring town provided convenience with its shops and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The onsen baths were a highlight, offering relaxation and tranquility after a long day exploring.

I gotta say, I got a bang for my buck at this hotel. The room was cozy, with comfy beds and sofas, and it was kept toasty warm even in the freezing winter. Plus, the location was like a winter wonderland, with breathtaking views of Mt Zao and snow-covered grounds everywhere you looked. The staff treated me like a VIP, especially the one English-speaking staff member who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable.
The breakfast option could've been better. It would've been nice if they had clearer labeling for the dishes, especially for vegetarians like me.

I had a wonderful stay at Active Resorts Miyagi. The location at the mouth of the Zao Echoline provided easy access to beautiful sights in Miyagi and Yamagata prefecture. The large 5-person futon room and the indoor and outdoor onsens were fantastic. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were kind. I highly recommend this hotel.
